Historic Kailua Village invites visitors and residents to stroll oceanfront Alii Drive, shop and dine during its monthly Kokua Kailua coming up Sunday, July 15.

Once a month, Alii Drive becomes a pedestrian-only walkway in the heart of town from 1-6 p.m. during Kokua Kailua. The festive marketplace atmosphere is complemented by Historic Kailua Village’s many unique shops and restaurants. With fun for all ages, this free event is designed to rally support for merchants and restaurants and remind residents, in particular, to shop, dine and buy local.

Free entertainment on the lawn at Hulihee Palace begins at 4 p.m.

The next Kokua Kailua is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 26.

Kokua Kailua Village Stroll is sponsored by the Kailua Village Business Improvement District, the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, Destination Kona Coast, Kailua Village Merchants Association, Hulihee Palace, West Hawaii Today and Pacific Radio Group.
